What are your rights as OFW?

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are an important part of the Philippines economy, with many working in foreign countries to provide for their families back home.

However, some OFWs face abuse and mistreatment at the hands of their employers. This can include physical abuse, sexual harassment, and non-payment of wages, among other forms of mistreatment.

When an OFW is being abused by his or her employer, it is important for them to know their rights. The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is the government agency responsible for protecting the rights of OFWs. They provide assistance to OFWs who have been abused, including legal representation and repatriation to the Philippines.
